To paste text in a message
1. On the Home screen, click the Compose icon. The To: screen appears.
2. While composing a message, place your cursor where you would like to paste
the text.
3. Click the trackwheel to view the menu. Click Paste .
Summary and tips
In this chapter, you learned about the various icons and components of your
handheld. You also learned how to set some basic options, including notification
profiles and Auto On/Off, and how to use cut, copy, and paste.
Tip If you want to replace or delete existing text, enter selection mode by
holding
ALT
and clicking the trackwheel. Roll the trackwheel to select the
text then start typing. The text that you type will replace the characters
that you have selected.
Getting to know your handheld - Tips
• Press the first letter of an item in an options list or menu to move directly to that item.
• Press
SPACE
twice to insert a period when typing text (the letter following the period will
be capitalized automatically).
• Type the first letters of the name, or the initials separated by a space, to find a specific
contact on the To: or Find screens.
• Press and hold a letter to capitalize it (you must have Key Rate enabled).
• Press ESC to exit any menu, dialog box, or screen and return to the active function.
