ELECTRICAL SAFETY

Before use, check that the mains voltage
corresponds to the voltage on the rating plate.
This appliance is double insulated in
accordance with EN 60335; therefore no
earth wire is required.
To avoid the risk of electric shock, do not
immerse the cord, plug or motor unit in
water or other liquid.
ASSEMBLY
Selecting the voltage (SC831 only)

Determine the local mains voltage.
◆
Turn the voltage selection knob (1) to the
correct setting.
Fitting and removing the attachments
◆
Allow the appliance to cool before changing
the attachments.
◆
Fit the concentrator nozzle (4, 10) for general
hair drying and styling.
◆
To add volume and lift, fit the diffuser (5, 11).
USE
Switching on and off
SC831
The heat control switch (2) has three positions:
off, warm and hot.
◆
When the switch is moved to 0, the appliance
is switched off.
◆
Slide the switch to position 1 for warm air.
◆
Slide the switch to position 2 for hot air.
SC832
The speed control switch (7) has three positions:
off, slow and fast.
◆
When the switch is moved to 0, the appliance
is switched off.
◆
Turn the switch to position 1 for blowing air at
a low speed.
◆
Turn the switch to position 2 for blowing air at
a high speed.
Heat selector (SC832 only)
The heat selector (8) has three positions: warm,
hot and very hot.
◆
When the switch is set in position 1, the hair
dryer blows normal warm air.
◆
Turn the switch to position 2 for hot air.
◆
Turn the switch to position 3 for very hot air.
Cool shot button
◆
Press and hold the cool shot button (3, 9) to
set your individual style.
CLEANING AND MAINTENANCE
Before doing any cleaning or maintenance,
switch the appliance off and remove the
plug from the power source.

Remove any loose hair which may have become
trapped in the diffuser or the rear filter.
◆
Do not try to disassemble or repair the hair
dryer yourself.
