WARNING:
IMPORTANT SAFETY INSTRUCTIONS FOR THE BATTERIES
AND CHARGER
• Do not store or carry batteries so that metal objects can contact exposed
metal end (Figure 1). Do not place batteries in aprons, pockets, drawers, a
beach bag, etc. with loose nails, screws, keys, etc. without protective bat-
tery caps. Batteries could short circuit causing fire, personal injury, or damage to the
batteries.
• Battery caps are provided for use when carrying batteries or while batter-
ies are stored in a pocket, etc. Remove cap before placing battery in
Charger or unit (Figure 2).
• Never attempt to open batteries for any reason. If the housing of the bat-
tery breaks or cracks, immediately discontinue use and do not recharge.
• Do not incinerate batteries. They can explode in a fire. A small leakage from the bat-
tery cell may occur under extreme usage, charging, or temperature conditions. This
does not indicate a failure. However, if the outer seal is broken and this leakage gets on
your skin:
• (1) wash quickly with soap and water or (2) neutralize with a mild acid such as lemon
juice or vinegar, (3) if the liquid gets into the eyes, flush them immediately with clean
water for a minimum of 10 minutes. Seek medical attention.
NOTE:
The liquid is a 20-
35% solution of potassium hydroxide.
• Do not use an extension cord. Plug the Charger directly into an electrical outlet.
• Use the Charger only in a standard electrical outlet (120V/60Hz).
• Charge batteries only with a 2-port

batteries. Other bat-
teries may explode.
• Do not use Charger in wet or damp conditions. Do not use Charger outdoors. Do not
use the Charger near sinks, or tubs. Do not immerse in water.
• Do not allow the cord to hang over the edge of a table or counter or touch hot surfaces.
The Charger should be placed or mounted away from sinks and hot surfaces.
• Do not operate Charger with damaged cord or plug.
• Do not operate Charger if it has received a sharp blow, been dropped, or otherwise
damaged in any way. Return the appliance to any authorized service facility for exami-
nation, repair, or electrical or mechanical adjustment. Do not disassemble Charger.
• For best results, do not charge batteries when they or air temperature is BELOW 40°F or
above 105°F.
• Unplug the Charger before cleaning or maintenance.
• Do not abuse the cord. To reduce the risk of damage to the electric plug or cord, never
carry the Charger by its cord or yank the cord to disconnect from an outlet; instead,
grasp the Charger plug and pull to disconnect. Keep Charger cord away from heat, oil,
and sharp edges.
SAVE THESE INSTRUCTIONS
CHARGING THE BATTERIES (See reverse for “Battery Disposal”)
NOTE:
The
†

battery sticks are not fully charged when packed in the carton.
Charge them for at least 6 hours before first use. If your batteries arrive with protective
caps already in place, be sure to remove them by simply pulling them off before
attempting to charge the batteries.
1. Plug in the Charger and insert the metal end of the batteries into the Charger (A).
2. Indicator lights will come on to show the batteries are charging and will remain lit as
long as batteries are in the Charger. After normal usage, your batteries should be
fully charged in 3 hours or less. If the batteries are completely run down, you may
have to charge them for up to 6 hours.
3. While charging, the Charger may hum and feel warm. This is normal.
4. If a battery does not charge properly:
• check the current at the outlet by plugging in a lamp or other appliance there to
see if it will work,
• see if the outlet is connected to a wall switch which controls the power ,
• move the Charger and batteries to a surrounding air temperature of +40°F to 105°F.
5. The batteries should be recharged when they fail to produce sufficient power.
DO
NOT CONTINUE TO USE THE UNIT
with a depleted battery.
INSTALLING AND REMOVING BATTERIES
1. Tilt unit back, open Battery Door at the front of the Base, and insert the batteries—
metal end in. Push them into place and (B) close the Door.
2. To remove/change a battery, open the Door, grasp the battery, and pull out. Replace
with a charged battery and close the Door.
HOW TO USE
1. Before first use, wash the Jar, Lid, and Cap by hand or in a dishwasher.
2. For best results, put liquid into the jar first—do not add ice above the MAX ICE line.
Be sure the Lid and Cap are in place before starting. The Cap measures a standard
Shot Glass. When crushing ice or hard foods, keep one hand on the Lid.
3. Press and
release
the Pulse Control Button (C). (Holding the button down continu-
ously will drain the batteries faster.) Releasing the Pulse Control turns the unit off.
4. Hold the Lid back before pouring.
5. If ice jams, remove the Jar by turning to unlock (
) and lifting off. Turn the
propeller at the bottom of the Jar to the right. Replace the Jar and lock onto the base
(
). Pulse again.
CLEANING
1. Before cleaning, remove the Jar from the Base by turning to unlock (
)and lifting
off. The Jar, Lid, and Cap can be washed by hand or in a dishwasher. Lock back
onto the Base before use (
).
NOTE :
Les ensembles de piles
†

chargeur (fig. A).
L'appareil s'arrête lorsqu'on
relâche la commande de marche intermittente.
