Electrical safety
Before use, check that the mains voltage
corresponds to the voltage on the rating plate.

Unmodified plugs and matching outlets will reduce
the risk of electric shock.

the cord, plug or appliance in water or other liquid.
Extension cables & class 2 product

A 2 core cable must be used as your tool is not
earthed.
♦
Up to 30m (100 ft) can be used without loss of
power.
♦
If the supply cord is damaged, it must be
replaced by the manufacturer or an authorised
BLACK+DECKER Service Centre in order to avoid
a hazard.

Before assembling, switch the appliance
off and remove the plug from the socket.

Assembling Your Fan - Affixing the Base to
the Motor Housing
WARNING: Before performing any assembly or
maintenance, switch off and remove from the power
supply.
♦
To assemble your fan, start by threading the
power cord through the hole in the fan base.
♦
When the power cord has been passed through
this hole, locate the small notches on the inside
of the hole. These align with the grooves at
the bottom of the motor housing. Observing
this alignment, slot the motor housing into the
base until both parts sit flush. Once both parts
are slotted into place, twist the motor housing
clockwise to tighten it and secure it to the fan
base.
