Here you will find more detailed instructions for your
Congratulations & thank you for purchasing Birde – the
world’s first interactive media player for pre-schoolers.
Once connected, your child will be able to independently play
audio or video content simply by tapping a Birde Seed on
your Birde’s Seed Reader. Lets get started!
When a Birde Seed is scanned over the Birde Seed reader your
Birde will identify the Seed and play the associated Audio
content on it high quality speakers.
If a supported smart TV or streaming device* is paired to your
account and turned on, the birde console will automatically
change to video mode. When a birde Seed is scanned, Audio
and Video will be streamed directly to your TV.
Note: Streaming video requires bandwidth and may incur fees
from your internet service provider. To learn how to download

The Birde system is comprised of three key elements, your
Birde (a Wi-Fi connected media console), the Birde Seeds
(hexagonal tokens) shown below which are individually
identified with icons as being either Music, Video or
Audiobooks and the Birde Mobile App.
Download and install the Birde App from the Apple App Store
or Google Play store. Once installed, open the App. On first use
you will be prompted to create a User Account and prompted
to create or join a Family Account.
Note: The Family Account enables all adult members to share
control of the Console. For example a Husband and Wife
should be part of the same Family Account. Typically the
individual setting up your Birde for first use will create the
Family Account, then invite other Family Members to join.

Once you have created an account you’re ready to connect
your console to a Wi-Fi network. This is required to enable full
functionality such as adding new content, monitoring usage of
your Birde or playing video on a smart TV

Birde Guarantees all products against defects caused by faulty workmanship and materials for
24 months from date of purchase. During this Guarantee period Birde will repair or replace your Birde
if it’s found to be defective. In the event of a product being replaced during the Guarantee,
the Guarantee on the replacement will expire on the original date i.e., 24 months from the original
date of purchase.
This Guarantee excludes defects caused by the product not being used in accordance with instructions,
accidental damage, misuse or being tampered with by unauthorised persons. Additionally, Birde does
not Warrant Console Playback will be without interruption or without error due to internet connection
If Warranty is to be pursued we will need your name, contact information (including telephone) and
explanation of failure. You will also need to provide proof of purchase. Without this proof any work carried
out pursuant to the Birde Guarantee and any associated delivery charges (both to and from us) will be at
your cost, subject to applicable statutory rights as a consumer.
If failure or fault occurs, and you would like to make a claim under the Birde Guarantee Warranty please

In Australia your Birde Console comes with statutory guarantees that cannot be excluded under Australian
Consumer Law. You are entitled to a replacement or refund for a major failure and for compensation for any
other reasonably foreseeable loss or damage. You are also entitled to have your Birde Console repaired or
replaced if it fails to be of acceptable quality.
Adding to your Seed collection is simple! Simply browse the Store either on your Birde Mobile App, or online
at www.birde.co/store Here you can select media from a wide variety of trusted content providers. Age
recommendations accompany each Pack as well as classifications based on educational or entertainment
value allowing you to select the most appropriate media for your child. Once purchased, the Seed Packs will
be posted to your nominated address.
Note: After purchasing new content your birde console will automatically begin downloading the audio
content. Please ensure the console is charged and Wi-Fi connection is enabled. This ensures that when your
new Seed Packs arrive the Seeds are ready to play!

Remove all components from the pack
Turn on your Birde by pressing the Power Button
Open your starter Seed pack & give the Seeds to your Child.
This starter pack is preloaded onto your birde console and
will play immediately without a Wi-Fi connection.
Tap a Seed on the Birde Seed Reader to begin.
Download and install the Birde Mobile App on your phone
then follow the prompts to create a User Account &
connect your console. This will allow you to configure and
monitor your console and download new media.
Connect USB cable to the adaptor plug and connect USB
cable to the Charging Dock.
Place the Charging Dock on flat surface & seat your Birde in
the docks recess. Charging will automatically begin.
Charge is completed when the LED stops flashing.

Your Birde will be delivered with charge so there is no need to
charge before first use. To charge thereafter;
Ensure your Birde Console is within range of your home Wi-Fi.
Open Birde App and select “My Devices” from the Side Menu.
Select the “Pair Speaker Console” button.
Follow the on-screen prompts to complete connection.
