Installation
IMPORTANT
While the Hard Case passes our stringent quality control measures before
leaving our factory, some parts may move or dislodge during shipment.
Therefore, to ensure optimal performance and prevent water or dust in-
gress, before installing the Hard Case onto your phone please,
1. Confirm that the Cover O-rings are properly seated in the Sealing Grooves.
2. Confirm that the Cover O-rings are free from twists, wrinkles and/or
deformation.
3. Do not touch, rub or dislodge the Cover O-rings with your hands or other
objects.
4. Check against dislocation or deformation especially during installation of
the phone into the case.
If the O-rings are twisted, deformed or out of place, use a pair of forceps
to put them back in place. In case the deformation persists, replace any
affected O-ring(s).
Tip: You can practice assembling the case using the provided dummy phone so
that you can test the waterproof feature before assembling to a real phone.
1. Separate the Front Cover from the Rear Cover by removing the seven Star
Bolts with the Star Key provided and then open the Access Door to separate
the Covers..
Note : Please keep the Star Bolts in a safe place as they are required for
assembly.
2. Remove any protective cover, screen protector or protective film from
your phone and then clean the front phone surface using the Screen Cloth
provided.
Tip: to remove fine hairs and/or dust from the front phone surface, make a
loop using self-adhesive tape and gently tap the screen with the sticky side.
3. Peel the Screen Film from the backing card and carefully stick the Screen
Film over the front of your phone. Be sure to align the edges of the Screen
Film with the phone screen. A rainbow pattern may be visible on the screen,
but this is normal and will gradually disperse.
4. Place the Front Cover face down on a flat surface and check the O-rings
are in place and undamaged.
5. Tilt the phone down toward the side with the Volume Buttons and align
the Silent Switch with the Button Panel and the lower edge of the phone
with the same edge of the Front Cover. Once alignment is confirmed,
carefully insert the Silent Switch into the Button Panel, and gently set the
phone into the Front Cover.
Caution: Do not slide or rub the phone against the O-rings. If worried about
correct installation, carefully remove your phone, double check the O-rings,
and re-install.
6. Before installing the Rear Cover, carefully pick the phone and Front Cover
up to check that the O-ring is not visible from the front and that the Silent
Switch operates normally. If the O-ring is visible or the Silent Switch does
not function normally, remove and reinstall the phone by following Step 5.
