tools use the ethernet MAC address for distributing, identifica-
tion, and registration of software.
Communications Partner Parameters
You will need a set of parameter settings for each communica-
tions partner. A communications partner is literally each com-
puter you wish to establish TCP/IP connections over ISDN
with. Please write down the parameter settings for all commu-
nications partners on a separate piece of paper.
The following settings are required:
1. Unique Partner Name.
2. Partner’s IP Address.
3. A telephone number where your partner can be reached at
(for outgoing calls) and a telephone number from which
your partner normally calls from (will be used for identify-
ing incoming calls).
Please note that the numbers for incoming and outgoing
calls may be different if a PBX is connected to your subscrib-
er outlet.
4. The EAZ for incoming calls.
5. The desired ISDN service. The available services are as fol-
lows:
