Charging the Battery
The rechargeable battery comes pre-installed within the Reader.
You can only charge the battery using the USB cable.
7.1.1 Charging with USB Cable connected to a computer

Connect the supplied USB cable to the USB port at the bottom of the eBook Reader
and connect the other end to a computer or laptop.
The eBook Reader shows
“Connecting to PC USB
”.
The battery starts charging automatically when the
eBook Reader is connected to the
computer.
7.1.2 Charging with USB Cable connected to external power
source
You can also charge the Reader using an external power source by connecting the USB
cable to a suitable 5V DC / 1A adaptor.
The battery indicator
at the top right hand corner of the screen will start scrolling to
indicate charging.
Note
It is normal for the Reader to get warm while charging or after using for an extended
period of time.
A suitable 5V DC / 1A adaptor is sold separately.
