This Binary™ Product has a One-Year Limited Warranty. This warranty includes parts and labor repairs on all
components found to be defective in material or workmanship under normal conditions of use. This warranty shall
not apply to products that have been abused, modified, or disassembled. Products to be repaired under this warranty
must be returned to SnapAV or a designated service center with prior notification and an assigned return authorization
number (RA).

Problem
Cause
Solution
USB device is attached but not functioning.
• The USB device requires drivers that were not
installed.
• The USB device does not support USB hubs.
• The USB device has malfunctioned.
• Install the required USB device driver on the
computer operating system prior to attaching
the USB device into the remote extender.
Please see your USB device manufacturer’s
website for details.
• In the Universal Serial Bus controllers section
of Device Manager, check that the USB
device has enumerated.
• Contact Technical Support for assistance.
USB device is attached but not functioning.
• Overcurrent condition has occured because
the USB device has drawn more current
than can be supplied per USB specification
(500mA). The operating system may gener-
ate a status bubble indicating an issue.
• Power cycle remote extender. Wait 30
seconds and plug power back into the unit.
• If overcurrent continues to occur, either:(a) the
USB device may use more power than the
USB specification, or (b) the USB device may
be damaged.
• Contact Technical Support for assistance.
The LED on the local and remote extenders blink
intermittently.
• The Cat5e cable connecting the local
extender and remote extender is faulty.
• Firmware mismatch between the local and
remote extenders
• Ensure the Cat5e cable is of decent quality.
• Use a different local and remote extender pair
which have the same firmware revision.
• Upgrade the local and remote extender firm-
ware; contact Technical Support.
The LED on the local and remote extender is off.
• The remote extender is not receiving power.
• The local extender is not receiving power.
• The link cable is malfunctioning.
• The B-300-USB2-CATX is malfunctioning.
• Confirm the host computer is on and providing
power to the local extender.
• Ensure power adapter is properly connected
to the local or remote extender. Not both.
• Ensure the Cat5e cabling between the local
and remote extenders is properly installed.
• Contact Technical Support for assistance.
