TROUBLE-SHOOTING
BRAKES
POOR BRAKE PERFORMANCE:
1. Front and/or rear master cylinder low on fluid.
2. Air bubbles in the hydraulic system.
3. Contaminated brake pad/disc.
4. Brake pads badly worn (1/16 in. minimum lining thickness).
5. Brake discs badly worn or warped.
6. Brake fades because of heat build up due to:
a. Excessive braking (riding the brakes).
b. Brake pads dragging.
c. Insufficient hand lever or rear pedal free play.
7. Master or caliper pistons worn.
