3 Technical data
Before using the devices, be sure to read the corresponding data sheet!
If it is unavailable, you can read or download it in the internet on www.bicker.de. Here
you will find important information such as input voltage, output rating and operating
temperature. The DC/DC converter may not be operated outside of these technical data!
4 Installation
The devices are built-in units and may be used inside a metal housing (e.g. electrical
cabinet). The end device must comply with the current EMC standards. During installation
ensure that the converter module is adequately ventilated. Free circulation of air has to
be possible.
The cables must be fixed and can not be routed over sharp edges. Please ensure correct
polarities when connecting!
5 Commissioning
5.1 DC2412-UPS-LD
To switch on the device, the Ignition line has to be connected with the input cable. After a
delay of approx. 2 sec the device starts up, the output supplies 12 V and the super caps are
charged. After removing the IGN signal, the DC/DC converter switches off after approx. 5s
to minimize power consumption.
