Accelerator Pedal Adjustment Tool
GENERAL INFORMATION
The accelerator pedal adjustment tool is a useful thing for the diagnosis of engine noises, testing the
engine control such as injector return flow test, charging system test, etc.
SAFETY INSTRUCTIONS
•
Make sure that the adjusting screw is fully turned back and do not rests on the accelerator pedal,
before starting the engine.
•
Make sure that selector lever of automatic transmission is in the position 0 or P and the hand
brake is activated, before increasing the rotation speed.
•
Observe the maximum permissible rotation speed, this is particularly important for vehicles with
automatic transmission. The information can be found in a workshop manual.
•
Risk of accident: Never use the accelerator pedal adjustment tool while driving and remove the
tool before you start driving
APPLICATION
Install the accelerator pedal adjusting tool with clamping screw

on the brake pedal (see fig.)
Rotate the adjusting screw
B
for adjusting the desired rotation speed.
Note: Adjustable rotation speed can only be equal or higher than idle speed.
