LED Light Cleaning

Clean the LED light using isopropyl alcohol or
other disinfection agents. Never use a clean

Manual Lubrication
After cleaning the handpiece ap

ply lubricant BEFORE autoclaving
(Fig.6). Use only a high quality lubri

cant such as Beyes Lube. Remove
the handpiece from the tubing and

the drive air tube of the handpiece.
While looking at the connector end
(threaded end) of the handpiece,

Sterilization
The handpiece must be cleaned and sterilized between patient uses.
A wrapped handpiece should be steam sterilized at 132°C for a minimum of 10 min
-
utes or at 121°C for a minimum of 50 minutes. Do not exceed 135°C.
An unwrapped handpiece should be steam sterilized at 132°C for a minimum of 8 min
-
utes or at 121°C for a minimum of 30 minutes. Do not exceed 135°C.
Note:
An unwrapped handpiece needs to be used immediately or sterility is not main
-
tained.
Do not exceed the sterilizer manufacturer’s guidelines for load capacity.
CAUTION:
Use steam sterilization exclusively for complete sterility. Never dry heat
sterilize, ultrasonically clean, or expose handpiece or swivel to chemical disinfection or
cold sterilization by:
•
Immersion techniques or Surgical milk
•
Surface wipes, Hand soaps, or Detergents
•
Surface sprays
•
Sterilization bags containing disinfectants
Troubleshooting
Problem:
NO LIGHT, REDUCED LIGHT, OR INTERMITTENT LIGHT
Cause:
Air Pressure is below the minimum pressure 35 PSI
Correction:
Increase the air pressure in your delivery unit.
Problem:
YELLOWISH LIGHT
Cause:
Debris on LED surfaces
Correction:
Clean all exposed optical surfaces. (Refer to Cleaning.)
Limited Warranty
Beyes Dental Canada hereby warrants against defect in material and workman
-
ship that for a period of 12 months (six months for turbine) from the date of
purchase, this product will perform satisfactorily under normal use and service.
No warranty claim can be inferred here, as wear may occur earlier or later than
indicated above depending on use, frequency of sterilization and frequency of
maintenance. Beyes shall under no circumstances be liable for incidental or con
-
sequential damages or damage due to improper use or maintenance.
This Warranty is subject to the following conditions
Beyes will, without charge repair or replace (at Beyes sole discretion) any defec

tive part/s covered in this warranty.
If the conditions are met, the defective item must be returned to an authorized
Beyes service center or distributor. Accompanied by the original invoice or pack

ing list. This warranty is in lieu of all other warranties, expressed or implied.
Use only faultless burs and diamonds. These must be clean to prevent dirt from being
transferred into the chuck.
CAUTION:
Never depress the autochuck
end cap button or rest the end cap against
any part of the oral cavity during operation.
Depressing the end cap while a bur is rotat
-
ing can activate the chuck mechanism and
result in the end cap button excessive heat
and/ or loss of bur retention.
Bur Insertion
(fig.3)
1. Insert bur into autochuck until resistance is
felt.
2. Depress theautochuck end cap button and
continue to feed-in the bur until it clicks and
stops.
3. Release the autochuck end cap button. (Al
-
ways pull on the bur after it has been installed
to confirm that it is seated properly).
4. Never depress the autochuck end cap when
the bur is rotating.
Bur Removal

1. Grasp handpiece firmly so your thumb touch

a slight ‘click’ is noticed.
2. Pull bur straight out.
