6. Place the evaporator block with the water filter into the tank in an upright position.
6.2 Filling the tank with tap water and maremed ® special sea salt
Before you can start using the device, you must first fill the tank of the maremed ® with tap
water and the maremed
®
special sea salt.
IMPORTANT
Use the maremed ® exclusively with the maremed ® special sea salt. Do not use the
maremed ® with any other salts! The maremed ® may be damaged if other salts are used.
Do not add any essential oils or fragrances to the tank either. If other additives are used,
the plastic material may become discoloured and damaged.
To fill the tank, proceed as follows:
1. Ensure that the maremed
®
is disconnected from the mains.
2. Remove the cover from the maremed
®
in an upward direction.
3. Fill the tank fully up to the MAX marking (approx. 6 litres) with fresh, cold tap water.
4. Using the measuring jug, add 90 ml of the maremed
® special sea salt included in deliv-
ery to the tap water.
(For every 1 litre of tap water use 15 ml of maremed ® special sea salt).
5. Place the cover back onto the housing of the maremed
®
from above.
Note
When carrying the device, only use the recessed handles at the front and back provided
for this purpose. The top recesses are merely for taking off the cover.
6.3 Setting up the maremed ®
1. Place the maremed ® on a firm, level and water-resistant surface to prevent vibrations
and noise.
2. Set up the maremed ® in such a way that there is 30 cm clearance on all sides.
3. Make sure that the air inlet and air outlet are never blocked.
4. Make sure that the touch display is facing the front.
