The following safety instructions
also apply when using TENS.
Only use the device with the supplied or
reordered original accessory parts, other-
wise the warranty is voided
PRECAUTIONS:

Do not use directly on the skull or spinal
column.
!
The stimulation electrodes must not be
applied to any point on the front of the
thorax (i.e. around the ribs and breast-
bone), particularly not to the two large
pectoral muscles. This may increase the
risk of ventricular fibrillation and cause
cardiac arrest.
!
Do not modify the electrodes (e.g. by
trimming). This will increase the intensity
of the current and may be dangerous
(the max. recommended output value for
the electrodes is 9 mA/cm2, an effective
current intensity in excess of 2 mA/cm2
requires increased care during use).
!
Do not confuse the electrode cables and
their contacts with your headphones or
other devices and do not connect the
electrodes to other devices.
!
Pretreating the skin with oil-rich creams
or ointments is not recommended, as
this sharply increases wear on the elec-
trodes, and may also lead to unpleasant
current peaks.
Consult your doctor before using the device
if you are experiencing:
!
Acute diseases, particularly with sus-
pected or known high blood pressure,
blood clotting disorders, susceptibility to
thromboembolic illnesses, or malignant
growths.
!
Unexplained, chronic pain - regardless
of the region of the body
!
Other ongoing medical treatments
!
Paraesthesia involving reduced pain
perception (such as disorders of the me-
tabolism)
!
Constant skin irritation due to sustained
stimulation of the same point with the
electrodes.
