5. Preparing for Measurement
Inserting/Replacing batteries
1. Remove the Battery Compartment Cover from the rear of the device.
2. Insert four “AA” alkaline batteries (included) according to the polarity
markings inside the compartment.
NOTE : Do not use rechargeable batteries.
3. All LCD elements will be briefly displayed.
NOTE : If audio output is on, the device will announce “The device is ready for
use. You may start measuring.”
4. Reattach the Battery Compartment Cover.
5. Whenever batteries are inserted, the time and date will appear on the LCD
Display at all times.
