Game instructions
The Diabolo is a skill game that requires and promotes skill. You need a good sense of balance.
Adjusting the string length
To start training, you must first find the right line length, stand upright and let your shoulders hang. Now place your upper arms
against your body and stretch your forearms horizontally forward. Now hold the sticks horizontally in your hands. In this
position the cord of the diabolo should be about 15cm from the ground. Before knotting, the string can be cut to the correct
length. If the original Best line is too short, you can use other special Diabolo lines or kite lines. If your line is too long, you can
roll it up on a stick.
Basic Exercises
Place the diabolo in front of your right foot, hold the sticks in your hands and place the string in the middle under the diabolo.
Now slowly start lifting the right stick so that the diabolo rolls on the floor towards your left arm. If you lift your left arm, the
diabolo will move towards your right arm. Repeat this exercise several times.
If you want to get the diabolo in the air, you have to put it back over the string in front of your right foot and let it roll back and
forth again. You pull it up when it reaches one side. Directly you have to pull the sticks up and down alternately, so t hat the
diabolo turns faster and faster. You should try to keep the diabolo in balance, if you don't succeed, change your posture. If the
diabolo doesn't swing properly, it may be on a damp string or the diabolo may become entangled with the string. You sh ould
make sure that the string is not too tight. If the axis of your diabolo rotates away from the center of your body, it will help to
rotate with it.
Tricks
If you have practiced a lot, you can try the following tricks:
Throwing up
The diabolo must rotate quickly. Try to pull both arms as far out as possible so that the string is stretched in front of your nose.
From this position you can easily point the diabolo over the right stick tip and land it on the string. Give way with your ri ght arm
and pull the sticks up and down again alternately.
The Elevator
To perform this trick, the diabolo has to turn very fast and you have to move your left arm upwards, with the right stick you
wrap the string once around your best diabolo. Now you stretch the string sensitively with the right stick, so that it runs
vertically from the floor and so the diabolo will run upwards, just before this reaches your left stick, relax the string again and
