Mending Plate Installation
After leveling and ganging modular units, align the walls.
Place the mending plate in the recessed area on top of the
upholstered walls so that the holes in the mending plate aligns
with the holes in the top of each wall. (See DIAGRAM 5)
Using a 2mm allen wrench and the machine screws provided,
attach the mending plate to pull together and secure the
upholstered walls. (See DIAGRAM 6)
When all four screws are secure, remove the backing from
the peel-and-stick adhesive located on the underside of
the top cover plate. (See DIAGRAM 7)
Place the cover plate on top of the mending plate with
adhesive facing down. Apply with even pressure until the
top plate bonds to the mending plate. (See DIAGRAM 8)
Repeat steps for installation of additional units if necessary.
