Without placing anything on the unit set the control for plate for about 10 minutes at maximum heat.
In this fashion the coating of the heating plate achieve its optimum protective effect. For a brief mo-
ment the unit may emanate a slight smoke. Do not be alarmed as this is normal.
Operating Instructions
This device is equipped with a thermostat. It permits an infinite variable heat control as well as
protection against overheating. Whenever the desired temperature is reached the control light will
go off. In this way the light indicates the continuous operation of the thermostat controlled heat
regulation.
Only use pots and frying pans of the correct diameter and of the type for electric heating plate. Pans
with an uneven base only waste electric energy.

The European directive 2011/65/EU on Waste Electrical and Electronic Equipment (WEEE), requires
that old household electrical appliances must not be disposed of in the normal unsorted municipal
waste stream. Old appliances must be collected separately in order to optimize the recovery and
recycling of the materials they contain, and reduce the impact on human health and the environment.
The crossed out “wheeled bin” symbol on the product reminds you of your obligation, that when you
dispose of the appliance, it must be separately collected.
