Chapter 3: Installation Procedure

Connecting Conductors from Source Circuits

Source circuits refer to output from PV arrays through the combiner to the BUSS.
1. Label each wire from the source circuit with a reference number and its

polarity.

2. Run all ungrounded wires, grounded wires, and the equipment ground

conductor into the Breaker Universal Safety System enclosure through the

selected entry point.

3. Connect all ungrounded inputs on the corresponding circuit breaker input in

order by labeled circuit breaker (

). If there are fewer connections to

be made than there are circuit breakers in the unit, populate the

lower-numbered circuit breakers first.

NOTE

Use of a corrosion inhibitor is recommended at the point of connection

between conductors and terminals. This ensures reliability over the lifetime

of the equipment.
