Light source information
Getting to know the light source hour
When the projector is in operation, the duration (in hours) of light source usage is
automatically calculated by the built-in timer.
To obtain the light source hour information:
1.
Press
MENU/EXIT
and then press / to highlight the
SYSTEM SETUP:
Advanced
menu.
2.
Press to highlight
Light Source Settings
and press
MODE/ENTER
. The
Light
Source Settings
page is displayed.
3.
You will see the
Equivalent Light Source Hour
information appearing on the
menu.
4.
To leave the menu, press
MENU/EXIT
.
You can also get the light source hour information on the
INFORMATION
menu.
Extending light source life
The light source is a consumable item. To keep the light source life as long as possible, you
can do the following settings via the OSD menu.
• Setting Light Source Mode
Go into the
SYSTEM SETUP: Advanced
>
Light Source Settings
>
Light Source
Mode
menu and press / .
• Setting Auto Power Off
This function allows the projector to turn off automatically if no input signal is detected
after a set period of time to prevent unnecessary waste of light source life.
To set
Auto Power Off
, go into the
SYSTEM SETUP: Basic
>
Operation Settings
>
Auto Power Off
menu and press / . The time period can be set from 5 to 30
minutes in 5-minute increments. If the preset time lengths are not suitable for your
presentation, select
Disable
. The projector will not automatically shut down in a certain
time period.

Provides full light source brightness
Economic
Lowers brightness to extend the light source life and decreases the fan noise
SmartEco
Adjusts the light source power automatically depending on the content
brightness level
Custom
Allows you to adjust the light source power to your desired level (for selected
models)
