Using the Camera

Power Save

 [Off]

The camera remains on when idle.

 [1 min.]

For power conservation, the LCD screen is turned off 
automatically after a period of time you set.

 [3 min.]

 [5 min.]

Date & Time

Sets the date & time.

Language

Select a language for display menus and other information.

File Numbering

[Series]

Stores the latest used file number regardless of deleted 
files or a change of memory card. This is useful for 
avoiding file name duplication when images are 
downloaded to a computer.

[Reset]

Resets file numbering each time the memory card is 
changed.

TV Format

You can review images on a television with an AV cable. TV Format should be 
set to either NTSC or PAL depending on your region.

America, Japan, Taiwan and others

 [PAL]

Europe, Oceania and others

TV Format should be set to either NTSC or PAL depending on your 

region. For details about which system should be used, check with your local 
authorities.

USB

 [Computer]

Sets the USB mode to connect the camera with a printer 
or computer.

 [Printer]

Format

To erase all data stored in the memory card if you are using a card, or all data 

stored in the internal memory if there is no card inserted.

A “Busy...please wait” message displays while the memory card is being 

formatted.

A “Completed” message displays when formatting is finished.

All data will be deleted, including protected files. Be sure to download 

important files to your computer before formatting.
