Mounting the Device
Your device can be mounted securely to the outside of your home. Follow the
steps below to mount your device:
1. Before mounting your device, make sure that the camera will be in direct
sunlight at the location you choose. If the solar panel is not in direct
sunlight, the solar panels will not charge the batteries adequately.
2. Check the live view from the app to pick your desired camera capture
location and lens aim. Using the mounting template, mark the two holes
where the screws will go.
3. If
installing your camera on stucco, brick or concrete, use a 5/16
masonry drill bit to drill holes in your wall at the marked locations. Insert
camera on wood,
skip this step.
4. Position the mounting bracket with the nut built into it, with the larger hole
facing you, in front of the left mark or anchor. Insert the screw through the
mounting bracket hole.
5. Using a Philips head screwdriver, drive the screw into your wall (or into
the anchor, if installed) until the mounting bracket is secure.
6. Repeat the previous two steps with the remaining mounting bracket and
right mark or anchor.
7. Next, position the camera so that the mounting brackets align with the
mounting holes on the camera, then hang the camera on the mounting
brackets.
8. Insert the security screw into the hole on top of the camera, over the left
mounting hole and mounting bracket.
9. Using the included Allen wrench, tighten the security screw until it is tight.
10.To remove the camera from the wall, the security screw needs to be
removed first.
