Stinger® MS+ Getting Started Guide

Space requirements

The Stinger MS+ hardware requires the following minimum clearances for the 
chassis:

■

20 inches (54cm) at the front panel for module replacement and cable routing

■

16 inches (40.6cm) at the back panel for module replacement and cable routing

■

 

3 in. (75mm) on either side of the chassis for airflow recommended (2 in. [50mm] min.)

Special requirements and recommendations for installation 
and maintenance

Follow these requirements and recommendations for Stinger installation and 
maintenance.

Lifting requirements

Use a mechanical lift or at least two people to lift a fully loaded Stinger MS+ chassis 
for rack mounting. For more information, see “Mounting the unit” on page 2-1.
