6.1.7 Activate a SMS Box
Proceed as follows:
➤
Press the
[Menu]
key.
➤
Select “Messages” via
Ωπ
keys. Press
[OK]
key to confirm.
➤
Select a not enabled Box via
Ωπ
keys. Press
[OK]
key to confirm.
➤
"SMS box not enabled. Enable?" is displayed. Press
[OK]
key to confirm.
Note : An activated SMS Box will have the symbol displayed at left side of
its name.
6.2 SMS Sending
Proceed as follows:
➤
Press the
[Menu]
key.
➤
Select “Messages” via
Ωπ
keys. Press
[OK]
key to confirm.
➤
Select an activated Box via
Ωπ
keys. Press
[OK]
key to confirm.
➤
If a PIN code has been programmed, the telephone will ask for it. Enter the
PIN, press
[OK]
key to confirm and to access the SMS messages menu . The
list of "Messages" options is displayed.
➤
Select "Write new" via
Ωπ
keys and press
[OK]
key to confirm.
➤
Enter the text via the alphanumeric keyboard by pressing a few times the
keys to choose the characters you need. A counter on the top of the screen
diplays the number of entered characters (see table of characters at chapter
6.4.).
➤
When entering the text it is possible to erase the characters at left side of
the cursor via
∂
and
[Erase]
keys.
➤
After the text has been entered, press the
[Options]
key to display the
options list.
➤
Select "Send" via
Ωπ keys
and press
[OK]
key to confirm.
