5.2

Removing an SFP transceiver (optional)

Figure 21: De-installing SFP transceivers: De-installation sequence

Proceed as follows:



Open the locking mechanism of the SFP transceiver (1).



Pull the SFP transceiver out of the slot via the open locking
mechanism (2).



Close the SFP transceiver with the protection cap (3).

5.3

Deinstalling the M4-AIR... plug-in fan unit



Remove the 2 screws in the front panel of the M4-AIR plug-in fan unit.



Pull the plug-in fan unit out a few centimeters and wait until the fan comes
to a halt before pulling it all the way out.

CAUTION

ROTATING PARTS

After the device is switched off, the fan blades continue rotating for a
number of seconds. Do not reach into a rotating fan!

Failure to follow these instructions can result in injury or equipment
damage.
