Frame Operation and IP Network Setup
Introduction
This chapter shows the multiviewer interfaces, explains the local operations that can be
performed, and it explains how to implement IP network connectivity with the multiviewer.
A Kaleido-X16 multiviewer system can be controlled in the following ways:
• In the housing frame, you can monitor card operating status of your Kaleido-X16 input
and output cards by looking at the card-edge LEDs (see
• The loading and management of layouts is handled by XEdit, accessed through a
dedicated Ethernet port (refer to the Kaleido Software User’s Manual;

• The output resolution of the card can be controlled automatically through the EDID

Changing the Output Resolution
• The RCP-200 advanced remote control panel, and the Kaleido-RCP2 control panel allow
you to perform operations on the monitor wall, either by themselves or in association
with an external keyboard and a mouse. Refer to the RCP-200, Kaleido-RCP2, and
Kaleido Software documentation.
