Default Source/Destination Assignments
Panel XY Mode
A new LCD panel has a factory default XY configuration which provides the following
button mapping:
• A group of Source Selection buttons, assigned from source 1.
• A group of Destination Selection buttons, assigned from destination 1.
• Source and destination paging buttons.
• Panel Lock/Unlock button
• Take button.
• Protect button.
The router controller that the panel is connected to controls one or more routing matrices;
this has some overall size which is often large.
To assign all the router matrix sources and destinations to the panel buttons, the Default
All XY button facility on the RollCall XY Mapping template may be used.
• Click Default All XY to set up all sources and destinations on the panel.
• The full size of the router is used. This is shown on the RollCall Setup template,
Router Dimensions X:Y ( Router Sources and Router Dests ).
• Source and destination names are obtained from the router controller.
• Assignment to source and destination selection buttons is linear.
As an alternative, button mapping and source/destination assignments may be done
manually. This is outlined in
Button Example 1 - XY Panel Mode, LCD Panel , on page 168,
and Assign Source/Destination to BPX Buttons , on page 181 for an LCD panel.
Panel BPX Mode
A new LCD panel has a factory default BPX ‘template’ configuration which provides the
following button mapping:
• Two rows of Crosspoint buttons (BPX buttons), unassigned.
• Panel Lock/Unlock button
• Protect button.
To assign router matrix crosspoints (sources and destinations) to the panel BPX buttons, use
RollCall
BPX Mapping template.
Panel Group Mode
An LCD panel does have a default button configuration.
