Button Example 1 - XY Panel Mode, LCD Panel
This section describes setting up buttons on the G2 Series 1U Router Control Panel in XY
panel mode. Button functions need to be mapped to the buttons on the panel and then
destinations and sources assigned to XY buttons.
Mapping XY Buttons (LCD Panel)
For this LCD panel example, use the Config and XY Mapping templates.
Preliminaries
On the Config template:
1 Set Panel Mode to ‘XY’.
2 In the Take / Undo / Redo pane:
a Select XY Mode Take Enable .
b Select XY Mode Undo Enable .
c Set Routed Status Timeout to 4seconds.
d Set Undo Timeout to 4 seconds.
Map Top Row - XY Buttons (Source Selection)
In the XY Mapping template:
3 Position the Button Focus at the top left panel button ( row 1, button 1).
4 Set:
a Button Configuration to ‘XY Source’ in the drop-down list.
b Number to Fill to 12. Press S .
c Increment Type to ‘Across’.
d Autofill Button Type to ‘Source’ in the selection box.
5 Click Fill ! .
The first 12 LCD buttons display with Source N or Source Unused in the button map.
These are now assigned to be buttons with a source selection function.
Button Focus will then be positioned at the next (13th) button on the row.
Source Paging Buttons
6 Set Button Configuration to ‘Unassigned’.

The 13th button’s function is set to unassigned.
7 Increment Button Focus (click +1 ) to move to the next button.
8 Set Button Configuration to ‘Page:Src:Down’.
9 Increment Button Focus (click +1 ).
10 Set Button Configuration to ‘Page:Src:Up’.
11 Increment Button Focus (click +1 ).
12 Set Button Configuration to ‘Paging: Src’.
This has configured all source selection button functions.
