Deployment
Process
BelAir Networks strongly recommends that you use the following process to
install and deploy your units:
1 Plan your network and document your planning decisions.
2 Prepare your network servers to use BelAir auto-configuration.
3 Physically install the units.
4 Commission the units.
5 Perform acceptance tests.
Step 1—Plan and
Document your
Network
Thoroughly planning your network and recording your planning decisions
greatly reduces the number of potential issues while installing and configuring
your network. Planning your network consists of the following two distinct
tasks:
1 RF planning and site survey. This task determines the following items:
—the country of operation
—the type of solution that is required (hospitality, campus, metro or other)
—how many BelAir units are required
—how many access radios and backhaul radios each unit will have
—what radio settings are required (radio channels, power levels, antenna
orientation)
—how are the units going to be mounted
—what accessories are needed
