Operation
Inserting and Replacing Batteries
Open the battery cover on the back of the appliance. Pull the plastic battery protector
strip from the battery compartment to activate the battery power. The unit works with
2pcs AAA batteries.
The
sign indicates the batteries are getting weak. When the batteries are running
low the display shows „Lo” and it automatically turns off. Change the batteries
immediately as weak batteries might affect the accuracy of the measurement. Replace
all the batteries at the same time with new ones.
Pay attention to the right polarity of the batteries when inserting them!
Note: If you do not intend to use this unit for a longer period of time, it is
recommended to entirely remove the batteries before storage. Use alkaline batteries
only! Do not use different types or unequally worn batteries along one another!
Measuring
Note: Always keep the maximum capacity of 5kgs in mind! Regardless of tare weighting
function, never place more than that on the scale! (If e.g. 3kgs of items are on the scale,
you may only place 2kgs more, whether you use tare function or not!)
After the batteries are inserted you may turn the device on by pressing the
button.
Solid items that do not leave any strong marks may be placed directly on the glass
surface, while powdery bits or liquid should be poured in a bowl.
In these latter cases first place the empty bowl on the scale and then re-set the zero
value by pressing the
button.
