Safety Devices
The device has a
safety switch
(
Picture A
). It can only be switched on when the milk jug (
6
)
is placed in the base station (
3
). If the milk jug is removed from the base station during use, this
switches off automatically. The LED ring (
5
)
fl
ashes red.
If you then want to use the device again, place the milk jug back into the base station. The LED
ring goes out. Now set the programme you want again to start the device.
In addition, the device is equipped with
overheating protection
. If it is operated without any
contents, the device switches off after approx. 40 seconds. Five beeps are heard and the LED
ring (
5
) goes out. The fan then continues to run for a few seconds to cool down the device.
Fill the milk jug once it has cooled down, and set the programme you want again.
Setting Up and Connecting the Device
PLEASE NOTE!
•
Only connect the device to a plug socket that is properly installed. The plug socket
must also be readily accessible after connection so that the connection to the mains can
quickly be isolated. The mains voltage must match the technical data of the device.
•
Lay the connecting cable in such a way that it does not become squashed or bent and
does not come into contact with hot surfaces (also applies to the hot surfaces of the
device!).
•
Always set up the device with a clear space at the sides (at least 20 cm) and clear space
above it (at least 30 cm) on a
fl
at, solid and heat-resistant surface that is resistant to
splashing.
•
Do not place the device below kitchen wall units or similar cupboards. The rising
steam could cause damage to them!
1. Place the device on the kitchen unit or another dry, clean work surface, following the safety
notices and the notices provided at the beginning of this chapter.
2. Fully unwind the connecting cable and plug the mains plug into a plug socket.
The LED
ring
(
5
) lights up in all colours (red, white, blue) and goes out again. In addition, a beep is
heard.
