The trend graph screen appears.

Push the Select button.
The Graph Setup screen appears with the Sampling Control icon active by default.

Do one of the tasks that follow:
• Push the Select button to start the sample process with the current setup
OR
• Change the settings in the Graph Setup screen first, then highlight the Sampling Control icon
and push the Select button. Refer to the help screen for more information about Graph Setup.
The sample process starts.

The right hand side of the trend graph is fixed at the most recent sample. Push the left arrow
button to adjust the number of sample points displayed in the trend graph. The maximum number
of samples displayed is 255.
Note: If historical location data is selected for review at the Trend setup screen, the x-axis will only be linear if
the sample times of each of the data records are the same. The UP and DOWN arrow buttons control the y-
Axis in half decade steps.
Memory and data export
The instrument keeps collected data in flash memory. The data is kept when the instrument is shut
down. Data can be viewed in the display, moved to a PC or laptop with a USB cable, put on a USB
memory stick or transmitted through an Ethernet connection.
View buffered data
1.
Navigate to the Buffered Data screen icon and push the Select Button.
The Buffered Data Review screen appears.
2.
Push the up or down arrows to scroll through the data.
The data scroll in sequence from the current record.
The data include the date and time of collection, the record number currently in view, channels
and counts, and environmental data associated with the sample.
Clear the data buffer
Note: If the password security option is set to on, an administrator password is necessary to remove data from the
buffer.

Navigate to the clock with a red X icon at the bottom of the screen, then push the Select key.
A confirmation warning appears.

Do one of the steps that follow:
a.
Push the Select key to cancel the operation and keep the data.
b.
Navigate to the check mark, then push the Select key to remove data from the buffer.
Set the data export mode
There are two file formats for data export. The user selects the format in the Communication Setup
screen.
If an administrator password is set in the security screen, the data export mode cannot be selected
by lower level users. This gives a way to make sure that the secure .xls mode is used when
necessary.

Go to the Communication Setup menu.
2.
Click the radio button for one of the Data Export modes.
Option Description
.tsv
This format gives an Excel compatible tab separated variable (.tsv) file. The file is not locked for
editing and is not CFR 21 Part 11 secure. This format supports a maximum of 10,000 data records.
.xls
This format gives an Excel (.xls) spreadsheet file. The file is locked for editing and is CFR 21 Part
11 secure. This format supports a maximum of 5,000 data records.
