4.2 Mounting
NOTE
Extreme environmental conditions
Extreme environmental conditions can cause damage to the device.
• Avoid extreme environmental conditions.
• Protect the device against moisture.
The CP39xx Control Panel is designed for installation on a mounting arm system. Please observe the
environmental conditions prescribed for the operation (see Chapter 8
Technical data [ } 45] ). You can find
the device dimensions in the current drawings on our website at: https://download.beckhoff.com/download/
Technical_Drawings/Industrial_PC/Control_Panel/CP39xx .
In the basic configuration, there is a connection block with four M6 threaded holes on the rear side of the
housing. The Control Panel can be installed above this on a mounting arm system.
The Control Panel can optionally be ordered with the Beckhoff mounting arm adapter already fitted. The
following ordering options are available:

Depending on the ordering option, the mounting arm adapters are oriented either upwards or downwards. In
addition, you have the option of ordering the device with a push button extension fitted (see chapter 3
Product overview [
}
8] ). With the push button extension, the mounting arm adapter can also be oriented
either upwards or downwards. All mounting arm adapters have a locking screw to prevent rotation (1). Fig.
19 shows the Control Panel with all four mounting arm adapter options as an example.

For a Control Panel with push button extension, a cable duct between the Panel and the mounting arm
adapter is included in the ordering option (see Fig. 20).
