Selecting navigation

Navigational mode is called up from the
main menu.

Rapid access is called up.

Aids for navigation

Three different aids to navigation are
available:
• Fast access mode
• Navigation menu
• Map display

Fast access mode

Fast access mode starts automatically for
the immediate selection of previously
stored destinations.

Navigation menu

The Navigation menu, e.g. for entry of a
new destination can be called up using the
fast access mode.

Map display

It is also always possible to call up the map
display by pressing the upper right-hand
sensor button on the Traffic Assist. 
In addition to indicating the current posi-
tion, the map display also allows the selec-
tion of new destinations.
See "Map display" on page 68.

Rapid access

Rapid access allows you to select from the
key functions to quickly start navigation.
Rapid access is illustrated below using
sample destinations.

 

Structure of rapid access

Navigation menu and map display

In fast access mode, the 

Navigation menu

button for opening the Navigation menu
is displayed in the top line.
If you have already entered your home ad-
dress, you can start route guidance to your
home address in the second line. Alterna-
tively, you can start navigation to the
home address by pressing the relevant sen-
sor button.
The destinations list is shown in the lines
below.
