5. Connecting the reverse signal
If the switch on the gearbox or shift linkage is accessible:
•
Connect a separate lead to the activated contact.
Connect the lead to socket A pin 2 (brown).
Low - level = ground, high - level = 12 V - 16 V
If the switch is not accessible:
•
Check which lead is routed to the reversing lamp. Then, if neces-
sary, remove the inner cover for the reversing light.
Connect a separate lead to the activated lead of the reversing lamp
and connect to socket A pin 2.
6. Connecting the speed signal (GAL)
(electronic speed signal is required for TrafficPro operation)
•
Attach a wire to the wire in the vehicle that provides a speed signal
(often located in the factory radio harness or in the speedometer
harness) and connect the other end of the wire to Socket A, pin 1
(grey/brown).
A 0 to 4kHz square wave signal less than 1.5VDC when the
vehicle is stopped and from 5VDC to 16VDC when the ve-
hicle is moving must be provided by the vehicle’s speed
sensor. If you do not know the location of the speed signal
in your vehicle. please call the TrafficPro Hotline.
