Setup Guide
Please read before use of product.
Beam toothbrushes are safe when used within the safety
guidelines. Beam toothbrushes are an electrical appliance
and should be handled cautiously especially around children.
Dangers
To lessen the risk of injury or fire:
1. Do not use any power source other than the provided
AC/DC adapter.
2. Do not store the charger near bathtubs, toilets, and sinks.
3. Do not attempt to grab or use a charger if it has fallen
into the water. Unplug from the outlet immediately.
4. Do not use the brush while bathing.
5. Do not attempt to clean the charger while plugged into
an electrical source.
6. Do not attempt to plug the charger into any other
voltage other than specifically stated on the product.
7. Do not forcefully plug the charger into the outlet.
8. Do not use a charger if the plug does not easily fit
into the outlet.
9. Do not attempt to take apart the charger.
How to remove and recycle the battery
Please note: This process will fully disable the product
and will not be able to be undone. The steps to remove
the battery from the brush are listed below.
Steps to remove battery
1. Before you start the removal process please make
sure that the brush has no charge left and the battery
is completely drained. You can accomplish this by
turning the brush on and letting it cycle. Repeat until
the battery is drained.
2. Once you have made sure that the battery has been fully
drained and the brush has no power you will need to
remove the battery from the brush. For this you will need
a screwdriver and channel locks.
3. Take the channel locks and place it 1/4 inch away from
the bottom of the brush approximately where the beam
logo is on the front and proceed to apply pressure with
the channel locks. Rotate brush 90° and apply pressure,
repeat until cap can be removed.
4. Once the cap is off, then proceed to take the screw
driver and pull back on 2 locking tabs inside the bottom
of the brush.
5. Take off the brush head and proceed to turn the cap
upside down and press it against a table to be able to
remove the carrier from the handle. The carrier houses
the motor, circuit board, and the battery.
6. Once the carrier is free please push the battery from the
back and pop the battery out of the carrier. Twist the
battery wires until the wires come loose from the circuit
board, watch to make sure the positive and negative
wires do not come in contact with one another. Once the
battery is free it needs to be properly recycled please
read below to learn the proper way to recycle the battery.
How to properly recycle the battery
These batteries can not be thrown away since they contain
harmful materials that can be a hazard to the environment.
To recycle the battery it will need to be disposed of at your
local waste management facility. For more information please
ask your local waste management facility for information on
how to dispose of the battery.
Caution
To lessen the risk of injury or fire:
1. If the brush or charger appears to be damaged in any
way, please discontinue use of the product. As further
use could result in injury.
2. If the brush is damaged and can no longer be used the
battery must be removed from the product before it is
discarded. Do not attempt to remove the battery if the
brush is not ready to be discarded. Please refer to the
battery disassembly below for more information on how
to remove the battery.
3. Once the battery has been removed please discard safely.
4. The Beam toothbrush has been specifically designed to
clean teeth, gums, and tongue. Do not attempt to use this
product in any other way than as previously described.
5. Do not store brush or charger near a heat source.
6. Beam toothbrush is NOT dishwasher safe. Do not attempt
to wash this product in the dishwasher.
7. Please refrain from storing or using this product outdoors.
8. Supervision is required for children or people with reduced
physical, sensory, or mental capabilities to safely use this
product. Without these specific supervision requirements
this product could lead to injury.
9. The Beam toothbrush contains a battery that is
non-replaceable.
