Installation Instructions
5. Carefully lift entire pedestal unit out of crate and
move to desired location.
6. Open accessory carton (if required) and verify that
contents match packing list (Figure 2). Close
accessory carton and set aside until final assembly.
Installing Pedestal
1. Place pedestal unit in desired location and mark
four corner fastener locations on floor surface.
Reference standard pedestal (PED-08 and PED-
012) footprint dimensions (Figure 3a). Mark
locations for gas and electrical service(s) that will
be routed through floor into unit (Figure 3).
2. Move pedestal unit aside and prepare floor area
for installation. Attach fasteners into floor surface.

Tools and Supplies Needed
• Stainless steel fastener systems (threaded fasteners,
lock washers, flat washers, etc.) 5/16” recommended
• Wrenches: 7/16” for crate fasteners
1/2” (or as required) for floor fasteners
• Phillips screwdriver
• Clear silicone caulk/sealer
• Tools for opening holes in floor surface
• Tools for installing fastener anchors
• Copper tube silver brazing equipment
Before you Begin
1. Notify facility you will be installing unit into gas piping
system.
2. Verify interruption/connection into gas piping system
has been authorized.
Unpacking Service Pedestal
1. Remove screws from top of crate. Top is printed with
REMOVE THIS SIDE FIRST message.
2. Remove packing foam and accessory carton (if
required) from inside crate. Remove additional
packing foam to expose pedestal lid.
3. Remove lid from pedestal unit.
4. Reach into crate and remove four 1/4” nuts and
retaining washers with 7/16” wrench (Figure 1).
NOTE:
#6-32 x .375 flat-head fasteners are taped to inside
surface of lid. These are used to attach lid to pedestal unit
after final inspection.
