Control Test

Prepare for the Test:
1.
To open the Test Strip foil packet,
carefully peel the foil back until
the Test Strip is completely
exposed (as shown). Save the
foil packet.
Note:
Numbers printed on each Test Strip
are manufacturing numbers and are not to
be confused with Code Numbers (F#).
2.
Holding the round end of the
Test Strip, insert the strip into the
Meter until it stops.
3.
A beep sounds. A full display, fol-
lowed by the Code Number (F#)
and previous test result, appears.
The Code Number and previous
test result flash alternately.
4.
To mark a Control Test, pull the
Test Strip out and reinsert quickly
(within 2 seconds). When the “C-”
and Code Number (F#) begin
flashing, you know the test will
be marked.
A Control Test is run to find out if the
whole
system
is working correctly (Test Strip and Meter)
and
to
practice good technique before blood glucose testing.
