Remove frozen food from its packaging and do not forget to
remove any metal clips. If the containers are suitable for placing
in a freezer and a microwave, then you can simply remove the
lid.

The liquid that is created during the defrost process, particularly
in the case of poultry should be discarded. Under no
circumstances should it come into contact with other foods.
o
A resting period is required when defrosting food, to ensure that
the food is totally defrosted. This normally takes between 15 –
20 minutes.
