Digital Media Operation
The system is able to decode and play back MP3 and WMA files stored in the
memory media connected to the USB port.
Playback of MP3 Files
• Press the FUNCTION button on the remote control repeatedly or the CD-
USB button on the front panel to select "DISC" mode.
• Press the USB button on the remote control repeatedly to select “USB1” or
"USB2" mode or press the USB SELECT button on the front panel.
• Following the illustration on the right, insert your storage media.
• Make sure a FAT32 formatted USB device
is fully inserted into the USB port.
• Connecting the USB card upside down could damage
the audio system or the storage media (USB drive).
Check to ensure the direction is correct before
connection.
• The system will start reading the storage media
automatically after connection and will start playback.
• Playback functions for MP3 files are the same as for playing a CD/MP3-CD,
as described on the previous pages.
NOTE:
• The system can detect and read MP3 and WMA formatted files only
through the USB port.
• Some MP3 players may not work properly when connected to this Mini
Hi-Fi System via the USB socket. This is not a malfunction of the system
but due to variances in MP3 encoding formats.
• The USB port on this Mini Hi-Fi System does not support connection with
a USB extension cable and is not designed for direct communication with a
computer.
Removing the USB Device
• To remove the USB device, turn off the power or set the FUNCTION mode
to either “AUX IN”, “BT” or “TUNER” first.
• Unplug the USB device by pulling it safely out of the port.
