Assembly steps
1. Assemble the complete boom with parts F3, B and C. You also need bolt
N and nut O. Make sure the walkway is on upper side and the mast head
is not upside down.
2. Place the completed boom in front of the base carrier and assemble it to
the boom base. After this, all three hose support bars can be mounted.
3. The fall back prevention cylinders are mounted with pin N on the over-
carriage. Do not push the pin fully in for now.
4. Add the Hose rolling system to the overcarriage and fix it with the pin N
from the fall back prevention cylinder. Just push both pins fully home.
5. On the Overcarriage‘s left side you can move all winches and find the
keys to do so by removing the panel.
6. Unwinding about 1.5 m of rope from the small winch (pic 5 / 3), fill the
pulley‘s from left to right and as shown on the picture. There is a fixing
endpoint on the main body where you can secure the end of the rope.
To make assembly easier, you use a piece of tape to fix the a-frame in
a static position.
7. Add spring (I) and pin (J) to the already mounted cylinder.
8. To lift the boom to the upright position, assemble both pennant ropes
with parts N, O and L. On the way up make sure the fall back prevention
is located in the right position.
9. To add the trench cutter to the base machine you will find a short piece
of rope pre-assembled in the hook. This is just an assembly aid to rig the
rope to the hook.
10. Remove about 1 m of rope from winch 1 through the mast head to the
hook. Knot both ropes together.
