6 MAINTENANCE
Maintenance of the BMA INTER-ROW WEEDER is vital to retain high levels of safety.
Also consult any manuals for the main components making up the equipment.
CAUTION!
ALL THE MAINTENANCE AND REPAIR OPERATIONS
MUST BE PREFORMED WITH THE MACHINE SWITCHED OFF
AND THE PNEUMATIC SYSTEM DISCONNECTED.
6.1 SCHEDULED MAINTENANCE
It is advisable to envisage a scheduled maintenance table to
follow in time, to keep the BMA INTER-ROW WEEDER in per-
fect and efficient working order. For the main and important
maintenance work, it is advisable to contact the BATTISTOTTI MACCHINE AGRICOLE
S.r.l. headquarters and use only original spare parts (if necessary).
Every 8 hours of operation:
Check the wear of the Nylon wire;
Check there are no oil leaks in the machine hydraulic system.
Every 10 hours of operation:
Perform complete lubrication;
Check the wear of the flexible hoses.
6.2 GENERAL ROUTINE MAINTENANCE REGULATIONS
These operations may be dangerous for personal safety; therefore proceed with cau-
tion and care, respecting all the safety regulations. Before commencing any mainte-
nance or cleaning operations, use the Personal protection devices, such as gloves,
safety shoes, goggles, visors, headsets, etc., depending on the task to be performed.
CAUTION!
BEFORE COMMENCING ANY MAINTENANCE WORK, SWITCH OFF THE
VEHICLE ENGINE, REMOVE THE IGNITION KEY AND DISCONNECT THE PNEUMATIC
SYSTEM. AFFIX A SIGN ONTO THE VEHICLE CONTROLS WITH THE WORDING: MA-
CHINE UNDER MAINTENANCE - DO NOT START THE ENGINE.
Before proceeding with any maintenance work:
•
Make sure the vehicle engine has been switched off;
• Read all the regulations in this manual thoroughly;
• Respect all the safety data plates affixed to the equipment;
• Do not allow unauthorised staff to repair or perform maintenance on the machine;
Make sure the vehicle engine has been switched off;
• To use compressed air for cleaning, wear dedicated protective goggles;
• The area where maintenance is carried out should be kept clean;
