Putting into operation and use
Read and follow the chapter “Safety information” carefully.
• Insert the plug into a properly earthed mains socket (wall socket).
•
Connect up to five consumers to the sockets on the socket strip.
• USB devices can be connected to the two USB ports. The USB ports are only suitable for
power supply and not data connection.
• The sockets are switched on or off by pressing the large push switch. When switched on, a
control light ignites in the switch.
a) Surge protection
• This socket strip is equipped with surge protection. When the red warning lamp is lit, the
surge protection feature is activated.
• When the red warning lamp goes out, the surge protection has been triggered. If this happens,
you can continue to use the socket strip, but the surge protection is no longer active.
b) Child safety lock
The sockets on the socket strip have a child lock which prevents children from freely inserting
objects into the socket connections.
Care and cleaning
• This product does not require maintenance. This product does not contain any components
that require maintenance. Never attempt to open or disassemble it. Repair or maintenance
work must be carried out by a technician or a specialist repair centre.
• Before cleaning, disconnect all devices from the socket strip.
• Then, completely unplug the earthed mains plug of the socket (the wall socket) strip from the
mains socket (the wall socket).
• Never use aggressive detergents, rubbing alcohol or other chemical solutions, as these may
damage the case or cause the product to malfunction.
• Use a dry, lint-free cloth to clean the product.
• Dust can be easily removed using a soft, clean long-haired brush and a vacuum cleaner.
Disposal
Electronic devices are recyclable waste and must not be disposed of in the
household waste. At the end of its service life, dispose of the product according to
the relevant statutory regulations.
