Operating Principle
This plasma lamp consists of a transparent glass ball filled with different gases at low pressure. On the inside
of the glass ball there is a smaller glass ball that serves as an electrode. If a high-frequency alternating
voltage is connected, flashes are generated that reach from the inner to the outer glass ball. If, for example,
a hand is placed on the glass, the electric field changes. A visible light beam is created from the inner light
ball to the point of contact.
Inserting/changing the batteries
• Open the battery compartment cover on the bottom of the product.
• Place four AA batteries (not included) into the battery compartment, making sure that the polarity is correct.
Also follow the polarity information inside the battery compartment.
• Close the battery compartment.
Replace the batteries as soon as the lighting effect becomes visibly weaker. If necessary, you
can operate the product using an optionally available power supply. The connection socket is on
the side of the base.
Operation
Never try to remove the glass globe from the lamp.
Never open the housing of the plasma lamp.
Do not operate the plasma lamp unsupervised.
Check the plasma lamp and power adapter from time to time for damages.
Only touch the glass globe with dry hands. Never let metallic objects or other conductive objects
come into contact with it.
Never leave your hands on the glass globe for a prolonged period of time, because this might
cause burns on your skin.
Never operate the plasma lamp if the glass globe is damaged.
•
Place the product on a flat surface.
• Switch the product on (ON position) and off (OFF position) with the switch on the side.
Care and cleaning
• Switch off the product before cleaning. If you are operating the product via a power adaptor, disconnect the
power adapter from the power supply before cleaning.
• Do not immerse the product in water.
• Never use aggressive detergents, rubbing alcohol or other chemical solutions, as these may damage the
housing or cause the product to malfunction.
• Use a dry, lint-free cloth to clean the product. Do not press too hard on the housing, as this can lead to
scratch marks.
• Clean the glass globe very carefully, otherwise you may scratch it.

of its service life, dispose of the product according to the relevant statutory regulations.
If a battery is inserted, remove it and dispose of it separately from the product.
Batteries
You are required by law to return all used batteries (Battery Directive). Batteries must not be
placed in household waste. Batteries containing hazardous substances are labelled with this
symbol to indicate that disposal in household waste is forbidden. The abbreviations for heavy
metals in batteries are: Cd = Cadmium, Hg = Mercury, Pb = Lead (indicated on the battery, e.g.
below the trash icon on the left).
Used batteries can be returned to local collection points, our stores or battery retailers. You thus fulfil your
statutory obligations and contribute to the protection of the environment.
