• Ensure that Bluetooth
®
is enabled and that the Bluetooth
®
device that you wish to pair
features all of the necessary Bluetooth
®
drivers. Visit the manufacturer's website to download
and install the latest drivers.
• To switch to the pairing mode, press and hold the multifunction button (5) when the
headphones are switched off until the red and blue LEDs (7) flash alternately. You will hear
"POWER ON" followed by "PAIRING" through the headphones.
• Follow the instructions for your Bluetooth
®
device. These may vary depending on the
manufacturer and design.
• Select "BH-530" on your audio playback device (e.g. mobile phone, laptop) to pair it with the
headphones.
• You will hear "Pairing Completed" through the headphones once the pairing process is
complete. Your audio playback device will also confirm that it was paired successfully with
your headphones. The message displayed will vary depending on your device. The blue
LED (7) will flash every 5 seconds when the headphones are switched on and paired with an
audio playback device.
• You may need to enter a password when pairing the headphones with Bluetooth
®
devices.
Enter the password (or try using "0000") and confirm your entry.
• If pairing fails, turn off the headphones and try pairing them again following the steps outlined
above.
Up to two Bluetooth
®
devices may be connected to the headphones at the same
time (Multi-link technology). Repeat the above steps to pair the headphones with
a second Bluetooth
®
device.
• If either of the devices paired via Bluetooth
®
is switched off, the Bluetooth
®
connection will
be automatically re-established when the device is switched on and Bluetooth
®
is enabled
(unless the device is unpaired). If the Bluetooth
®
connection is not re-established (e.g. when
the headphones are in standby mode), briefly press the multifunction button (5) to pair the
headphones with the previously connected Bluetooth
®
device.
Ensure that you enable automatic connection in the settings for your
device's operating system. This may be necessary for devices such as Nokia
smartphones.
d) Making and receiving calls
Voice commands must correspond to the features supported on your
smartphone. You can dial a contact using voice commands, e.g. numbers or
nicknames. The headphones only support English voice commands.
• Press and hold the multifunction button (5) for approximately 1 second. You will hear a beep
when you release the button. Audio playback will be suspended.
• Issue the voice command corresponding to the contact that you wish to dial. Follow the
instructions for your smartphone. The phone app will dial the contact and connect the call.
• To redial the most recently dialled number, press the multifunction button twice in quick
succession.
• Press the + button (3) to increase the volume. Press the – button (1) to decrease the volume.
You will hear a beep when the maximum/minimum volume is reached.
• Briefly press the multifunction button to answer an incoming call.
• Press and hold the multifunction button for approx. 1 second to decline an incoming call.
e) Listening to music
• Launch the music software/app on the audio playback device that you paired with the
headphones.
• Start the music playback on your device or briefly press the multifunction button (5).
• Briefly press the multifunction button to pause playback.
• Press the > button (6) to skip to the next track in the playlist.
• Press the < button (2) to go back to the beginning of the current track.
• Press the + button (3) to increase the volume. Press the – button (1) to decrease the volume.
You will hear a beep when the maximum/minimum volume is reached.
Some smartphones play music directly through their built-in speakers. If so,
adjust the Bluetooth
®
settings accordingly so that the audio is transmitted via
Bluetooth
®
and played through the headphones. Read the user guide for your
audio playback device for information on how to configure the settings.
Troubleshooting
• Ensure that all of the necessary Bluetooth
®
drivers are installed and up-to-date if some
features do not work properly.
• Please note that the remote control feature on the headphones is not supported by all audio
playback devices (e.g. smartphones). Check the list of features for your device (the AVRCP
protocol must be supported) and visit the website of your smartphone manufacturer. Updating
your device may help to resolve the issue.
• Some smartphone models route answered calls directly to the phone. The call can be
received on your phone or redirected to the headphones. Read the user guide for your device
for more information.
• Please note that the operating tones may vary depending on your device.
