How to mount the Sentido switch

Use a standard European backbox with screws to mount the Sentido switch. The screwdistance needs to be 60mm.
The depth required for the Sentido switch KNX is 24mm. Additional depth should be reserved for connecting the device.

Caution:

when fixing the screws, do not apply to much force since this will deform the plastic surrounding the opening E. Doing

so might disable the Sentido front cover to be mounted onto the Sentido switch!

Caution:

using screws that are to big might disable mounting the Sentido front cover onto the Sentido switch. The Sentido front

cover should be completely hiding the Sentido switch when mounted. If not the connection to the Sentido front cover might not
work properly, this will result in a reduced sensitivity of the switch!

Caution:

the device could become damaged. Never connect the device to 230V or mains!

Caution:

the device could become damaged. If there are any 230V or mains cables in the vicinity, make sure to maintain the

distances to them specified in the applicable standards and regulations. Never install the device in a flush-mounted box together
with 230V or mains cables.

How to put the Sentido switch into operation

Connect the bus line according to the KNX standard.
The required voltage to operate comes from the KNX bus.
Load the physical address into the Sentido switch from ETS via the KNX bus.
Complete the required configuration settings for the Sentido switch in ETS, and transfer the configuration by the KNX bus into
the Sentido switch. Depending of the Sendido front cover all four or only two touch sensors will be used.

Caution:

When using the

dual

 Sentido front cover,

program sensor 2 and 3 as ‘off’

. Only sensor 1 and 4 will be used.

Use the ETS database file you can find on our website

Calibration

In order to function properly, the sensors of the Sentido switch need to calibrate to the environment.
This calibration occurs at startup.
While calibration procedure is active the RGB led will light up blue and slowly fade up and down.
When the calibration is done, the RGB led will blink green. After this, the switch is ready to be used.

Calibration will be forced when the sensors detect for more than 20 seconds.
This will for instance occur when the front cover in being installed when the device is powered.

Caution:

not mounting the Sentido front cover correctly may result in a poor sensitivity of the touch sensors. Please be aware to

always push the front cover onto the Sentido switch as far as possible.

Operating the Sentido switch

Touching a single surface of the sentido switch will make the RGB led turn white as long as you keep touching the surface.
Touching more then one surface at the same time will activate the multitouch function and turn the RGB led orange as a visual
feedback (if the multitouch function is enabled).
These colours can not be changed.
All four switches as also the multitouch function can be disabled in ETS. All switches can be used for various functions like
switching, dimming, shutter control and scene recall and save.
When no surface is touched the RGB led can be controlled by KNX enabeling the use of the RGB led for displaying status
information or the use of the RGB led to illuminate the device in the dark.
The entire surface of the Sentido front cover will become touch sensitive, enabeling you to touch the Sentido anywhere you want.
