Installation instructions
On wall
1. Ensure that the cables are correctly positioned to match the recess area on the back of the Aalto speaker.
2. Using the provided wall bracket template, mark the location of the pilot holes and pre-drill each hole for the
mounting screws (not included) using the correct mounting hardware for the specific wall material.
3. Aalto speakers are heavy, therefore it is imperative that the wall construction is appropriate and suitable fixings
are used.
4. Connect the wires. Line up the speaker with the wall-mounting bracket and let the speaker slide straight down
into the slot for a secure mount
5. Place the fabric cover on the speaker, the cover is hold magnetically in place.
6. Once correctly installed, Basalte Studio configuration tool must be used to configure the D4 speaker.
Wiring
1. Audio network
Connect Aalto to the dedicated audio network using Ethernet CAT5e cable. The audio network must be a
dedicated network separated from your local data network.
2. Inputs
Additional source can be connected to the digital optical input.
Bluetooth input will be configured using Basalte Studio software.
3. Power supply
The Aalto D4 is powered by a Euro mains power lead with a 230V AC input. Do not unplug the connector at this
side with voltage present.
