ASSEMBLY
OPERATION
1.
Make 2-3oz of leak check solution (One part Dish washing liquid and three parts water.
2.
Apply several drops of solution where the hose attaches to the regulator.
3.
Apply several drops of solution where regulator attaches to the cylinder.
4.
Make sure all patio heater and light valves are off.
5.
Turn the cylinder on.
CHECKING FOR LEAKS
IF BUBBLES APPEAR, THERE’S A LEAK
1.
Turn the cylinder valve off. If the leak is at the hose/regulator connection, tighten the connection and
perform another leak test. If bubbles are still present, replace the hose.
2.
If the leak is at the cylinder/regulator connection, disconnect, reconnect and perform another leak check. If
bubbles are still present, replace with a new cylinder valve.
NOTE:
Whenever gas connections are loosened or removed, you must perform a complete leak test.
BEFORE TURNING GAS SUPPLY ON:
1. Your heater was designed and approved for outdoor use only.
DO NOT
use it inside a building, garage or
any other enclosed are.
2. Make sure surrounding areas are free of combustible materials, gasoline and other flammable vapors or
liquids.
3. Ensure that there is no obstruction to the air ventilation. Be sure all gas connections are tight and there
are no leaks.
4. Be sure the cylinder cover is clear of debris. Be sure any component removed during assembly or servicing
is replaced and fastened prior to starting.
BEFORE LIGHTING:
1. The heater should be thoroughly inspected before each use and by a qualified technician annually. . If
relighting a hot heater, always wait at east 5 minutes.
2. Inspect the hose assembly for evidence of excessive abrasion, cuts or wear. Suspected areas should be
leak tested.
LIGHTING THE HEATER:
Check and ensure that an AA battery is inside the ignition chamber and has power. Ensure the anode (+)
faces outside.
1.
Ensure that the control knob is off. Slowly open the gas cylinder valve.
2.
Press and turn the control knob to
HIGH
position, press down the control knob for 1-5 seconds.
3.
While holding down the control knob, push the RED igniter button until the burner ignites. Keep the
control knob fully pushed for an additional five seconds, then release the control knob. If you want a lower
temperature, push in the control knob and turn counter-clockwise to the LOW position.
NOTE:
If the burner fails to remain lit, all valves should be closed and a waiting period of at least 5 minutes
should pass before attempting to light.
