DIGITAL VOICE AND SECURE DIGITAL VOICE - SET-UP

Setting Up the Connection

Choose the device type (Barrett 4000 or 2000 series) from the top right drop 

down menu. Select the interface from the left drop down menu: serial or 

Ethernet. 

When using a 

serial connection, 

ensure that the cor-

rect serial port is 

entered. If the serial 

port number is 

incorrect, the soft-

ware will not con-

nect to the trans-

ceiver.

For 4000 series transceivers,  to 

ensure connection, make sure 

that SDV/4026 mode is “Ena-

bled” in the Security menu and 

that the Networked RS232 is set 

to “Direct”.

For 2000 series transceivers,  to 

ensure connection, make sure 

that Scrambler Program mode is 

enabled.
